Columnist Creates Perfect Alex Cora Press Conference Bingo Game
By Parker White
Boston Red Sox skipper Alex Cora has had to deal with the media plenty over the past year and a half, both to address absolute glory (108 wins and a title) and mediocrity, while attempting to explain this season's results.
As you can imagine, when you do interview after interview, along with pregame and postgame sessions with the media, you can get a little repetitive. So, why not have fun with it?
Chad Jennings of The Athletic covers the team and decided to make a laugh out of all the phrases and topics Cora typically refers to when speaking to the media. Yes, he made an Alex Cora bingo board, and it's awesome.
What do you get when you win?
All of these bingo spaces are spot on, but my favorites have to be "I-1: Changing Diapers" and "O-5: We good?"
Before he leaves every press conference, you can expect Cora to ask the media "We Good?" before leaving, which is very generous of him. On top of his thoughtfulness to reporters, there's a good chance he mentioned changing diapers, as we all know he's the father of twins that were born in 2017.
This is brilliant and something you could do with every big league manager or head coach across all of the major sports. They speak into a microphone all the time, and it's not a shock that they have some phrases or topics they use constantly to get their point across.
