Conflicting Reports Emerge About Cowboys Firing Entire Coaching Staff
By Jerry Trotta
The bomb of all bombs appeared to have been dropped in Dallas after their pedestrian campaign sent them waltzing into an earlier than expected offseason.
On Monday, Mike Leslie, anchor of television station WFAA in Dallas, disclosed that he's been informed that the ENTIRE Cowboys coaching staff has been dismissed.
As of this writing, nothing has been confirmed, but it appears that Jerry Jones and the rest of Dallas' front office is, at the very least, considering flexing their muscles to the fullest extent after their squad's shortcomings permitted the injury-ravaged Philadelphia Eagles to capture the NFC East crown.
While many pundits expected the Cowboys' coaching staff to undergo significant turnover this offseason, almost nobody forecasted changes of this multitude.
And according to NFL Netwok's Jane Slater, those changes have NOT transpired just yet, as Jason Garrett is presently meeting with Jerry and Stephen Jones, presumably about his future.
Hypothetically, this would mark end of the reign of Garrett, DC Rob Marinelli, OC Kellen Moore, passing game coordinator and defensive backs coach Kris Richard, QB coach John Kitna, and special teams coordinator Keith O'Quinn.
All we can do now is wait for another update, but it appears that BIG changes are imminent in Big D.
