VIDEO: Remembering Conor McGregor's Bus Attack in Brooklyn 2 Years Ago Today

Conor McGregor is one of the most talented mixed martial artists ever step into the UFC Octagon, and the biggest pay-per-view draw in the history of the sport by a mile, but his behavior occasionally borders on the criminally irresponsible. Nowhere was that better exemplified than at UFC 223 media day two years ago today. McGregor, in an apparent attempt to injure headlining Russian superstar Khabib Nurmagomedov, threw a dolly through a large bus window at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, causing injuries to several fighters in the process.

McGregor was motivated by a confrontation between Khabib and Artem Lobov, a close friend of McGregor's who was was scheduled to be on the Brooklyn fight card. Other noteworthy fighters like Rose Namajunas, Michael Chiesa, and Ray Borg were on the bus when McGregor threw the dolly threw the window.

Chiesa and Borg were pulled out of the card, as they suffered injuries from the shattered glass. Just a few days later, McGregor was officially stripped of the UFC lightweight title, a belt Nurmagomedov himself would be awarded after winning his UFC 223 bout against Al Iaquinta.

McGregor is the definition of polarizing, as he "antics" are far from normal fighter bravado and machismo, as they almost seriously injured a handful of fellow athletes. Hopefully, his behavior can steadily mellow out as the years go by. Is that too much to ask?
