Conor McGregor Facing New Sexual Assault Allegation in Ireland
By Jerry Trotta

Stop us if you've heard this before, but Conor McGregor is making international headlines for the wrong reasons.
According to The New York Times, the MMA superstar is being investigated for a sexual assault allegation in his home country of Ireland. This incident marks the second time since March McGregor has been accused of sexual assault, though he has not yet been charged in either case.

Court documents obtained by The Times state that a woman -- unidentified, but apparently in her 20's -- says McGregor sexually assaulted her outside a Dublin pub while sitting in her vehicle earlier this week.
The Irishman's representatives have responded to the allegations, telling The Times via an email statement that, "Conor McGregor is frequently the subject of rumors. He emphatically denies any report accusing him of sexual assault.”
For those wondering why this isn't in Irish press, two reasons. 1. If he isn't charged, he can sue for millions in defamation. 2. If he is charged, he can get case thrown out based on jury prejudice via media reporting.

So basically our antiquated laws.https://t.co/FnmJHty7gx
Ireland authorities clearly have some investigating to do, and it would be entirely irresponsible on our part to unleash an opinion this early in proceedings.
We will provide updates on the incident as they are made available.
