Conor McGregor vs Tony Ferguson Would Be a Bloodbath and the UFC Suddenly Needs This Fight
By Michael Luciano

Dana White might be hesitant to put Conor McGregor back in the octagon against Khabib Nurmagomedov, but White won't need to think long and hard when it comes to finding Conor's next opponent.
Tony Ferguson might have missed out on an interim lightweight championship after getting beat up by Justin Gaethje, but he would be a perfect fight for McGregor.

Get ready for some blood on the mat if this fight happens.
McGregor is the biggest star in UFC history in terms of pure entertainment value, but he's not in a position to challenge for a title once again, so Fergsuon would be an ideal fight given his pedigree and how he will try to be the aggressor against McGregor.
While Gaethje will likely get a shot against Khabib Nurmagomedov for the lightweight title, McGregor and Ferguson would be an equally captivating fight. The winner of this high-profile lightweight showdown should earn the right to take on whomever wins the Khabib-Gaethje melee.

Justin Gaethje vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov. Winner gets the belt.
Conor McGregor vs. Tony Ferguson. Winner fights the winner of Gaethje/Khabib.
Between Ferguson's brutality and the magnetic personality and flair of McGregor, these two facing off against one another with the winner getting another shot at either Khabib or Gaethje could make the lightweight division the most captivating watch in all of UFC in 2020. This needs to happen.
