Cooper Kupp Made Some Brutal History With Silent Game Against Steelers
By Scott Rogust
When it comes to both professional football and fantasy football, one of the more consistent wide receivers in the entire league is Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp.
Following a 200-yard performance against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 8, Kupp returned from the team's designated bye week and "beat the odds," putting up a stinker of a performance against the Pittsburgh Steelers. During his trip to the Steel City, Kupp was targeted four times by quarterback Jared Goff, and caught zero of those passes (for a legendary zero yards, of course).
As a result of this disaster of a day, Kupp is now the third player in the Super Bowl Era to follow up a 200-yard performance with a zero-yard game.
Ron Jessie and Kenny Britt aren't the type of historic company that Kupp wanted to join in his young career. However, this disaster comes thanks to a relatively poor performance from Goff, who threw for 243 yards, zero touchdowns, and two interceptions on the day.
Kupp will look to get back on the right side of the production chart next week, as he faces a league-average Chicago Bears pass defense.
