Cowboys and Dak Prescott Reportedly Working on Deal That Will Exceed Jared Goff's
By Parker White

The Dallas Cowboys have paid just about everyone on this team except quarterback Dak Prescott and Amari Cooper, and after the first two weeks of the season, that $40 million a year the Mississippi State product was reportedly seeking back in August doesn't seem as crazy as we once thought.
Prescott has all the leverage at this point, and according to reports, the two sides remain close on a deal that would out him in "rare air," otherwise known as more than Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff, who recently signed a record contract.

Of course, Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones went on SiriusXM’s Mad Dog Sports Radio this week and didn't want to commit to giving Prescott more than Goff's $110 million guaranteed.

“I wouldn’t say it’s fair to say that,” Stephen Jones said. “Any time you get in that top-five area, you think a lot of somebody.”
It might come down to who blinks first. The Cowboys don't want to pay Prescott all that guaranteed money, but if he keeps playing like he has in the first two weeks of the season, they have no choice.
