Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Antwaun Woods was already going to miss Thursday night's game against the Chicago Bears due to a knee injury, but he's now facing an even bigger problem.

Woods was arrested and charged Tuesday in Frisco, Texas for marijuana possession and tampering with evidence, as first reported by NFL insider Ian Rapoport. Police also cited Woods for possession of drug paraphernalia.

The charge claims Woods possessed between two and four ounces of marijuana, which is a misdemeanor in the state of Texas. While the NFL already reserves the right to ban a player found to have illegally possessed a controlled substance, the evidence tampering component of this story clearly constitutes a felony.

Though definitely the most significant, it's worth noting that this is not the first controversy Woods has stirred this season.

Woods has already missed four of the Cowboys' 12 games due to injury so far this year. In eight games this year, he has yet to record a sack or tackle for loss. On average, he has played just under 47% of defensive snaps per game this season.

Woods also missed last Thursday's game against the Buffalo Bills due to an MCL sprain, but don't be surprised if his season is in danger of being done entirely given these most recent developments.
