Cowboys' DeMarcus Lawrence Organizes Food Trucks to Provide Meals to Workers on Front Lines of COVID-19 Epidemic
By Dylan McCaffrey

While many Americans are told to stay at home to prevent the spread of COVID-19, some employees are forced to work overtime and put their own health at risk in order to help care for sick individuals.
Dallas Cowboys defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence recognizes who the real heroes are during this pandemic, so he's putting together a food truck effort to provide meals to those undertaking the monumental task of keeping this virus under control.
? Update: Excited to announce we are finalizing a food truck “pop-up” at a centralized area to provide 500 meals to those on the front lines of this pandemic helping our sick & keeping our community safe. Best part, the food trucks will be those who reached out for help!??

An incredibly classy and generous move by the Cowboys defensive end. As part of his efforts, Lawrence is offering work to small local businesses in the Dallas area that have been struggling during the economic recession.
The goal is continue having these pop-ups and use local small family owned companies that could use the business! So if you can, please donate or purchase gift cards at https://t.co/4roiOS10tp

Lawrence is organizing this charitable act through his organization 'HotBoyz' which was born from the Dallas Cowboys' defensive line's nickname. Hotboyz is hoping to collect $25 donations for various local small businesses, and even promotes a $2,500 offer which includes tickets to a Cowboys home game.
Props to Lawrence and the entire HotBoyz unit for this effective and creative way to curb the detrimental effects of COVID-19 on small businesses and health care workers.
