Sunday afternoon's tilt between the Dallas Cowboys and New England Patriots featured unpredictable weather as heavy rain was pouring down from the Foxborough sky for nearly the entire game. Players had to adapt accordingly, but Ezekiel Elliott went to extremes that we are having trouble coming to terms with. Folks, the NFL's highest-paid tailback was literally picking up first downs with a full-sized bath towel strapped to his pants.

What on earth?
We understand that holding onto the pigskin was Zeke's primary concern in the monsoon, but this seems a bit drastic, especially when fans around the league think that he's lost a step from last season.
It's almost as if the Elliott and the Cowboys have never played in the rain before. Come to think of it, they do play in a dome...
