Things have simply gone from bad to worse for the Dallas Cowboys this season. With Super Bowl aspirations, this team is on the verge of missing the playoffs in 2019. They need serious help from the Giants this Sunday and a win over Washington to avoid another disappointing campaign.

For Jason Witten, he knows his days suiting up for America's Team could be numbered. And while he says he's got a future in coaching, don't ask him if he wants to replace Jason Garrett in 2020. That didn't go over well on Thursday.

It would make sense for Witten to have this reaction because he and Garrett have a great relationship off the field.

Remember when Garrett was in tears during Witten's retirement ceremony? Yeah, No. 82 sure hasn't.

If anything, Witten's reaction to the question just tells us what we already know: Dallas players know the end could be near for Garrett. It was reported earlier in the year that the Cowboys needed to go on a deep postseason run for Garrett to keep his job.

A loss on Sunday/Eagles win will surely seal JG's fate in the Big D. We'll see if Dallas can pull off a miracle for its coach. It's the holiday season after all.
