No One Can Babysit Jerry Jones During the NFL Draft and That Should Terrify Cowboys Fans

Dallas Cowboys scouts are among the most talented in football, in part for the duties which are listed on the job description, but also their ability to keep Jerry Jones from undermining them every April.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Jones is being 'left alone' for the 2020 NFL Draft, meaning he will technically have final say without any scouting personnel available to stop him. Suffice to say: expect some trades.

A couple of Jones' near-misses of late include his desire to draft Johnny Manziel and the time he almost traded up to select Paxton Lynch, just to name a few. Without the supervision of the adults in the room, there's no telling what Jerry is capable of.

There's absolutely nothing stopping Jones from trading into the top-10 to select unproven yet raw Utah State QB Jordan Love.

You heard it here first.

Dallas' real needs lie in the secondary and at wideout, but Jones always has an affinity for quarterbacks, despite the presence of Dak Prescott, who is currently slated to play under the franchise tag.

For the sake of Cowboys fans, we hope Jerry has bad wifi.
