This Cowboys-Jets Trade for Jamal Adams Could Actually Work
By Michael Luciano

The New York Jets have holes all over their roster, but they have a defensive and locker room leader in All-Pro safety Jamal Adams, who really started to come into his own last season as an elite DB.
Unfortunately for Jets fans, Adams could be on the move, as questions about his fit with head coach Adam Gase have led some to speculate that he could be traded in exchange for a boatload of picks. One team with the aggressive mindset to trade for him that has a need in the secondary is the Dallas Cowboys, who are reeling from the loss of Byron Jones.
The Cowboys are in need of a safety... so why wait a year or two for them to develop. We make the case why it's smart to pay what the Jets may be asking for Jamal Adams. https://t.co/kCvg184SI4

Adams will require at least two first-round picks, which would include No. 17 overall this year and Dallas' 2021 pick. Not only is Adams on a rookie contract, but he is one of the best safeties in all of football. A 2020 third-round pick would also need to be sent to the Jets.
Adams is a first-team All-Pro who can line up anywhere on a defense, and that versatility would be a major boon for Mike Nolan in Dallas.

If the Jets are willing to take the PR hit and hit the rebuild button by trading one of the best defensive backs in the game, they could recoup a solid haul of draft picks, while the Cowboys will add one of most versatile defensive players in the NFL to an already promising defense.
