Cowboys LB Sean Lee Suffering Another Injury Proves Dallas Just Needs to Move on
The Cowboys have dealt with injuries to Sean Lee every season since they drafted him in the second round back in 2010. This season already is no different, as Lee missed Tuesday's practice with a MCL injury.
The Cowboys should give up on Lee and use that roster spot for someone who can consistently contribute for the team, and it's about time that happens. They have Super Bowl aspirations and Lee has proven time and time again that he won't be helpful to a contending team.
Dallas' defense is centered around two of the best young linebackers in the NFL, and neither of them are Sean Lee. Jaylon Smith and Leighton Vander Esch are up-and-coming stars for the Cowboys, and Lee's presence is not necessary for the team anymore.
Lee only appeared in seven games last season and played sparingly down the stretch because of Smith and Vander Esch's incredible contributions. Lee only recorded 30 tackles and a half-sack in those appearances, and Dallas still won the NFC East.
It's clear the Cowboys don't need Lee and it would be best for them to move on now with the linebackers they currently have outside of him.
