Cowboys Legends Have Been Roasting the Current Dallas Roster All Super Bowl Week Long
By Sean Facey
The Dallas Cowboys, one of the NFL's most iconic organizations, haven't made a Super Bowl since 1995, and the lack of success is starting to annoy some of the franchise's most famous icons.
Legendary players such as Troy Aikman and Michael Irvin have questioned whether or not the current team has the will to win, while former head coach Jimmy Johnson, who was at the helm when they last lifted the Lombardi Trophy, has echoed the questions about their drive.
Truthfully, who can blame them for being so cold? Year in and year out, these guys who helped forge the last Cowboys dynasty have been forced to watch the current squad tarnish their once-great reputation.
It must be incredibly frustrating. After all, the Cowboys are an undeniably good team, and they have been for a few years now. To see them fall short on an annual basis is certainly maddening.
The Cowboys used to have a monopoly over this week. The buildup to the Super Bowl was not meant to be for commentary on other teams, but for preparation.
Now though, they've been relegated to being perennial spectators. The criticism from these guys might be incredibly scathing, but its something that the team needs to hear if they want to bust out of their Super Bowl drought.
