3 Players Cowboys Should Trade up for in 2020 NFL Draft
By Mark Powell
If we've learned anything from the yearly Dallas Cowboys soap opera at the NFL Draft, it's that Jerry Jones loves to flirt with the idea of moving up. With recent buzz that Jones may again be contemplating a trade out of Dallas' current No. 17 slot, there are several intriguing prospects that would be worth such a transaction, should they become available.
3. Xavier McKinney, Alabama Safety
McKinney is one of the best pure safety prospects available in this year's NFL Draft. At Alabama, McKinney established himself as the sort of all-around defender that ought to make Mike McCarthy drool. Should he be available in the early teens, expect Jones to at least make a phone call.
2. Jeff Okudah, Ohio State CB
The price might be too high as things currently stand, but if Okudah falls for any reason, expect the Cowboys to be in the mix to snag the Ohio State product. Okudah's arguably established himself as the best corner in this class, and with Byron Jones entering free agency, the former Buckeye could be a cheaper option with higher upside.
1. Jerry Jeudy, Alabama WR
In an effort to provide Dak Prescott with as many weapons as possible, trading up for Jeudy (the best wideout in this class) would be wise. Amari Cooper's contract situation is still up in the air, while Randall Cobb might not be brought back. The addition of Jeudy to that mix would make the Cowboys' offense even more dangerous in 2020 around Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott.
