This Cowboys-Raiders Draft Day Trade Could Land Dallas Alabama WR Jerry Jeudy
By Scott Rogust
The Dallas Cowboys successfully retained top wide receiver Amari Cooper on a five-year deal. However, they did lose out Randall Cobb to the in-state rival Houston Texans. That leaves a lack of depth at the position behind Cooper and Michael Gallup.
Luckily for Dallas, the 2020 receiver class is unbelievably deep. Yet, they can still manage to secure one of the best wideouts, considering the amount of quarterbacks and offensive tackles expected to be taken in the top 10. Alabama stud Jerry Jeudy is widely viewed as the top wide receiver in the draft, however, the Cowboys have to trade up to steal him away from the likes of the San Francisco 49ers and Denver Broncos.

That's where the Las Vegas Raiders come in.
The Raiders have a bevy of draft picks this year, stemming from their trade of linebacker Khalil Mack and it's also been reported they're open to dealing the No. 12 overall pick. A trade-down wouldn't hurt Las Vegas considering Jon Gruden could add more assets and continue to build a contender.
To get a deal done, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones would have to trade the 17th overall pick, a 2020 second-rounder, and a 2021 second-rounder to the Raiders in exchange for the 12th overall pick.
The addition of Jeudy would make the Cowboys offense absolutely lethal and could help them go toe-to-toe with fellow NFC offensive powerhouse, the New Orleans Saints. As for the Raiders, they can end up selecting the guy they wanted to anyway five picks later and add a couple of second-rounders.
Not a bad idea, right?
