Will this be enough to get Ezekiel Elliott back on the field for the Dallas Cowboys?

We're well aware of the standoff between the two sides, which has consisted of Zeke wanting to become the NFL's highest-paid running back and the Cowboys looking to get creative with the salary cap so they can keep all of their stars.

Now, it appears as if Dallas has moved toward a possible compromise that could get Elliott to sign.

According to 105.3 The Fan in Dallas, the Cowboys have gotten closer to a Todd Gurley-like offer, but the deal includes less guaranteed money. At this juncture, it seems as if Zeke will have to make a compromise or else his holdout is going to last a lot longer than he may have anticipated.

At the end of the day, it's going to be hard for the Cowboys to make him the highest-paid running back in football. The team just dished out big contracts to DeMarcus Lawrence and Jaylon Smith and still need to take care of Dak Prescott and Amari Cooper, both of whom will be among the highest-paid at their positions.

We'll see if anyone blinks with Week 1 right around the corner, but at this rate, the Cowboys need to realize they can't invest too much of their time if Zeke isn't going to budge whatsoever.
