VIDEO: Cowboys TE Blake Jarwin Practicing During Quarantine Should Get Fans Excited for His First Season as Starter
By Tyler Kemp
Throughout this quarantine all across the country, athletes are finding innovative ways in order to not only stay in peak physical shape, but in peak game shape as well. For Cowboys tight end Blake Jarwin, the same holds true, and his backyard work has him looking primed for a breakout.
That's our TE1!
Since Jarwin cannot work out physically with his quarterback Dak Prescott (or new backup Andy Dalton), a JUGS machine will have to do the job. Jarwin is looking to improve on his 2019 campaign, where he caught 31 passes for 365 yards and three touchdowns. Being that longtime Dallas tight end Jason Witten has moved on to play with the Las Vegas Raiders, Jarwin will be able to step into the starting tight end role immediately.
With Dallas selecting Oklahoma wide receiver CeeDee Lamb in the first round of the NFL Draft to play alongside incumbents Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup, its focus offensively is for Prescott to distribute the ball as much as possible. If the outsides and slots are being covered and there are minimal running lanes for running back Ezekiel Elliott, look for Prescott to find Jarwin up the seams to push the ball downfield.
