Cowboys Troll Giants Ahead of Week 1 Matchup Following Ezekiel Elliott Extension
By Adam Weinrib
You had to know this was coming.
Though the G-Men and their faithful were holding out hope regarding stud running back and key puzzle piece Ezekiel Elliott's possible absence from the season opener, his holdout resolved in predictable fashion, just in time to torch the opposition.
And now that they're comfortable and confident, Dallas has joooooookes.
Didn't the Giants really "head out" the second they decided to send Eli Manning out to pasture for this contest once again? Or when they traded Odell Beckham Jr.? Or when they took Daniel Jones? These teams aren't playing the same sport right now. Zeke's return was hardly the missing link.
But that being said, yes, there's always plenty of trash to talk and no love lost here, before the ink is even dry.
The Giants haven't beaten the Cowboys since they swept 'em in Zeke's first year back in 2016. Post-Boat Party, this rivalry has been dominated by the Cabo'd Crusader. Expect more of the same this time around.
