Cowboys WR Randall Cobb Still Seems Upset About Divorce With Packers
By Michael Luciano
While the divorce between Randall Cobb and the Green Bay Packers has been finalized, the new Dallas Cowboys receiver doesn't sound like he's totally over his ex just yet.
After not receiving an offer from Green Bay in free agency, the 28-year-old receiver is still a little irked that Brian Gutekunst kicked him to the curb so quickly.
“It’s like the ex-girlfriend that broke up with you,” Cobb said. “When you see her five years later, you hope you’re in a better situation than you were before, married, with kids, and you’re able to say, ‘Yeah, I did better without you.'
While the Packers want to continue the youth movement at wide receiver with Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Equanimeous St. Brown, and Cobb has been on the decline in recent years, the fact that he didn't even receive an offer after piling up 5,524 yards and 41 touchdowns for the team seems a bit weird.
Mark your calendars for the Randall Cobb revenge game: October 6. Packers-Cowboys in Dallas.
