Crazy Officiating Stat Shows Raptors Should Have the Edge in Game 2

The Raptors are coming off of a dominant Game 1 win over the Warriors, thanks to some incredible defense and great games by Pascal Siakam and Kawhi Leonard. Though the Raptors will look to continue their excellent play tonight in Game 2 of the NBA Finals, they may have another element on their side tonight.

One thing people often complain about with this Golden State Warriors dynasty is that it seems like the officiating is always going in their favor. Whether or not this actually has factual backing to it is another story, but it seems like those complaints won't be very common in this game, as both Scott Foster and Tony Brothers have been incredibly Raptor-friendly lately.

Obviously, the Raptors will still have to bring their A-game against a Warriors team that has won three of the last four NBA Finals, but this is certainly a good omen for them as they play another game at Scotiabank Arena before the series shifts to Oracle Arena.

Either way, tonight's game is pivotal for both teams. A 2-0 lead would be huge for the Raptors' confidence and momentum, while evening the series would have Golden State feeling pretty good, especially without Durant.

Time will tell if the officiating crew will actually make a difference for Toronto, but that stat bodes well for a Raptors team trying to steal a second straight victory from the overwhelming favorites.
