Not only did the New York Yankees come away with a victory on Saturday, but there were separate fireworks in the Bronx today, as manager Aaron Boone, veteran starter CC Sabathia and outfielder Brett Gardner were ejected.

Home plate umpire Ben May and first base umpire Phil Cuzzi appeared to have quick triggers, but the explanation by crew chief Tom Hallion was pretty baffling.

Basically, Hallion didn't have a lot of answers for what happened Saturday, as he kept citing the fact he wasn't the one who levied the ejections. When it came to all three of these guys getting canned, Hallion referenced the report that will be sent to New York.

Well, that doesn't help anyone or give Yankee fans any closure on this matter.

In terms of Sabathia getting tossed, it's pretty automatic considering he's not even on the active roster due to an injury.

It's pretty ridiculous when an umpire pays attention to what's going on in the dugout, but Gardner banging the top of the dugout with his bat surely isn't worth an ejection as long as he isn't being disruptive.
