Criticizing LeBron James for Warming up With Bronny's AAU Team is Beyond Pathetic | TOMMY'S TAKES
By Thomas Carannante
The people with nothing better to do are back out here contributing further to the downfall of society.
And what better superstar for them to target than LeBron James? The man everyone loves to hate because they can't get over the fact he signed with the Heat when he was 26 years old, as if they wouldn't have done the exact same thing? Nope, all you keyboard huggers would've been blindly loyal to the dumpster-fire Cleveland Cavaliers, right?
Well, they're back and now cannot handle the fact LeBron is being a dedicated father and tremendous role model by attending and being heavily involved with Bronny's AAU basketball team.
Ah, yes, Barstool surely hates attention too, right? After all, they document in-office arguments between mindless brutes on a daily basis, which means they're providing the proletariat an irreplaceable form of entertainment.
Imagine being 13 years old and having LeBron James in your layup line? Perhaps since most of Twitter was bricking those layups 12 years ago or getting them sent into the stands, they probably can't understand how incredible of an experience that would be.
Or, imagine arguing that LeBron's actions upstaged his 13-YEAR-OLD son!
Yeah, you just cannot stand to see LeBron being heavily involved in his son's life, considering, well, you know, his own father had a lengthy criminal history and was absent from his.
He's also providing incredibly positive reinforcement to Bronny's teammates, which I guess you can also view as a bad thing if you're a bitter, lonely human.
I can see it now. All these kids going home to complain to there parents about this unbearable moment. "Oh my GOD mom and dad, I just HATE it when LeBron James comes to my basketball games to cheer us on and help us out! The guy is such an attention-whoring child!"
But these "I usually defend LeBron" takes have to be the best. Thank you for defending LeBron, he needs your voice more than anything.
Sure, we're aware much of these reactionary pieces are for clicks, but come on. Time to get over yourselves and understand when it's truly time to call out a player for his or her behavior. This is not one of those times. Let's go back to focusing on the MLB trade deadline.
