VIDEO: Cubs Release Hype Trailer for Brand New Marquee Sports Network
By Michael Luciano

Much to the chagrain of Chicago Cubs fans, Marquee Sports Network is officially "a thing." The Cubs decided to create a team-owned television network, similar to the Yankees' YES Network, while taking the rights to Cubs games away from longtime carrier WGN. The Network announced its creation with a pretty solid hype video, narrated by Cubs Hall of Fame outfielder Billy Williams.

This network has been firmly in the crosshairs of Cubs fans ever since the team-owned setup was announced. Fans have been complaining that the network isn't available on a variety of providers, while the partnership with the controversial Sinclair Broadcast group has been a major source of controversy.
Dumpster ? launch when you have over half the market who can’t watch. Pathetic

The one saving grace this network has is that Tom Ricketts went overboard in paying top dollar for some of the most interesting analysts available, many of whom, like Ryan Dempster and Rick Sutcliffe, were former stars with the Cubs.
Other than that, this has been a mess. When Billy Williams can't save things for Cubs fans, things have gone horribly wrong.
