Cubs Reportedly Trade for Tigers Outfielder Nick Castellanos
By Mark Powell

When one of your very own literally hates the ballpark you play in, you might want to help him find a new home.
Detroit Tigers outfielder Nick Castellanos is in the midst of a letdown campaign, as are most of MoTowns finest. Still, in a contract year, Castellanos had some value for a Tigers team looking to unload any and all talent.
Good thing for Al Avila--this Cubs came calling.
#Cubs get Nicholas Castellanos, source tells The Athletic.

After already dealing Shane Greene, this was a no-brainer for Detroit. They need to replenish their farm system as quick as possible.
For the Cubs, Castellanos adds another impact bat at a corner outfield spot. Castellanos' ability in the field leaves much to be desired, but he can definitely provide a spark at the plate when called upon and motivated.
Wow. Jordy Mercer is now on deck warming up before first pitch.

Nick Castellanos has been scratched.
Stay tuned.
Castellanos had been in the starting lineup for the Tigers in their afternoon game against the Angels, but he was scratched at the last minute as the two teams came to an agreement at the 4 p.m. buzzer.
Castellanos is batting .273 on the season with 11 home runs and 37 RBI.
