The Chicago Cubs (30-22) and Houston Astros (36-19) will square off Tuesday night in what will be game two of a three-game series between to first place clubs.
The Astros took the opener Monday night behind a five-run third inning off of Cole Hamels. Houston strung together baserunners and runs in an inning that was nothing short of a situational hitting clinic. The Cubs put together a late rally but ultimately fell short, losing 6-5.

The Cubs lineup has been one of the most productive in all of baseball, as Chicago is enjoying excellent season from Anthony Rizzo, Javier Baez and Kris Bryant.
Bryant in particular has had an unbelievable month of May, with a .345 average and 1.198 OPS. Jon Lester will toe the rubber for the Cubs, who has also had a great season with a 2.68 ERA.

Not many offenses in baseball have been better than that of the Astros, which are fourth in the MLB in runs scored with 285, and third in homers with 91.
George Springer will once again be absent from the lineup as he sits on the IL. This is a huge blow for Springer considering he has arguably been the AL MVP to this point in the season.
Still Houston has plenty of fire power without him, including Alex Bregman and Michael Brantley who are having excellent seasons. Corbin Martin will take the mound for Houston, who is coming off a solid 9 strikeout performance in his last start.
