How to Live Stream the Game
First pitch is set for 8:15 pm EST and can be seen on FSMW, WGN, and ESPN. The game can also be streamed on the MLB Streams subreddit.
Cubs Lineup
The Cubs will look for more consistency across the lineup after scoring only one run on Tuesday night. Most of the production rested with Jason Heyward who recorded three hits and one run in five at bats. Heyward is currently batting .321 across his last seven games, and is leading off for the Cubbies tonight. Willson Contreras hits second, followed by Kris Bryant, Anthony Rizzo and Javy Báez.
The Cubs are looking to avenge their series opening loss and even up things up as they put Kyle Hendricks on the mound to start. He holds a 3.26 ERA on the season and has struck out 100 batters in 113.1 innings.
Cardinals Lineup
The Cardinals' first win of the series can be attributed to the runs of Jose Martinez and Paul Goldschmidt. Goldschmidt stepped up big Tuesday night, hitting the tie-breaking homer to put the team up 2-1. The home run was his seventh in eight games and 11 for the month of July.
Miles Mikolas is on the mound for the Cards. He's 7-10 on the year with a 4.19 ERA, fanning 87 across 120.1 innings of work. It's far from his sensational 2018 campaign, but he's been better of late, even recording a complete game shutout against the Pirates on July 15.
