Two of playoff hopeful teams in the National League, the Washington Nationals (70-57) and Chicago Cubs (69-58), begin their weekend series tonight at Wrigley Field. The last time these two squared off was back in May in D.C. where the Cubs took two of three games.

Nationals Lineup
Washington's offense has been red-hot that manager Davey Martinez is rolling out the same lineup he did against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Thursday in their 7-1 victory. Leadoff man Trea Turner has been on fire in August, slashing .341/.409/.524 with four home runs, 14 RBI and five stolen bases.
Right-hander Anibal Sanchez will command the rubber for the Nats. In 23 starts this season, Sanchez is 7-6 with a 3.99 ERA. After a brilliant start to the season, the veteran has been a little hit or miss lately, owning a 4.74 ERA over his last seven starts.
Cubs Lineup
Manager Joe Maddo has made a few minor tweaks at the bottom of the lineup, with Jonathan Lucroy getting the start behind the plate and batting seventh and Tony Kemp starting a second base and batting eighth.
This offense goes to another level when Kris Bryant is hot, which he is over the last 15 games where he's slashing .298/.385/.596 with five home runs and 12 RBI.
Southpaw Jon Lester gets the start for Chicago, who hasn't been the ace we've all come to know and love. In 24 starts this season, Lester is 10-8 with a 4.23 ERA, including a whopping 5.45 ERA over his last seven starts. After a sensational first couple of months, Lester hasn't been able to replicate that level of success lately.
