Chicago's offense hasn't been able to find its stride lately. Prior to Wednesday's five-run showing, they had failed to score more than five runs in six consecutive games. They'll need Kris Bryant and Javier Baez to step up at the plate in order to take the series, especially since they'll be facing NL Cy Young candidate Luis Castillo.
Jose Quintana (4-2, 3.50 ERA) gets the ball for the Cubs. He's put up quality starts in back-to-back appearances coming into Thursday.

For Cincinnati, strong games from both the young stars and the veterans are necessary to take the series. Top prospect Nick Senzel and first baseman Joey Votto in particular need to provide a spark atop the order to get the offense going early.
