Cubs vs White Sox MLB Live Stream Reddit for Series Opener

The north side will meet the south side as the Chicago Cubs will head to Guaranteed Rate Field to take on the Chicago White Sox in a quick two-game series before wrapping up the first half of the season. It will be an intriguing battle between the crosstown rivals.

First pitch is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. ET. The game will be televised nationally on Fox. The game can also be viewed on the MLB Streams subreddit.

The Cubs finally got a win last time out after dropping four straight. The offense powered its way past the Pirates to the tune of 11 runs. After a day of rest the Cubs lineup will go up against one of the best pitchers in the MLB this season, Lucas Giolito. Javier Baez has had success against Giolito in eight plate appearances and owns a .375 average.
On the mound for the Cubbies will be Jon Lester. The lefty has been horrendous on the road, sporting a 5.67 ERA away from Wrigley Field. In 11 starts Lester, owns a 3.89 ERA and he'll at least be in the same city for this start.

The White Sox have enjoyed the success of Eloy Jimenez, who they acquired in the Jose Quintana deal with the Cubs. The young rookie has shown he has power and will be a force in the league for years to come.
Giolito will take the bump for Chicago. The right-hander will be heading to the All-Star game after this weekend and it's much deserved. Giolito is 11-2 with a 2.72 ERA and has fanned 115 batters this year.
