According to Cubs manager Joe Maddon, Alzolay will start on Tuesday. The 24-year-old hurler out of Venezuela pitched out of relief on Thursday and tossed four innings where he allowed just one run with five strikeouts against the Mets.
Adbert Alzolay is expected to make his first big league start next week against the Braves, the Cubs announced on Saturday.

Maddon also announced that right-hander Tyler Chatwood will also get a start with Kyle Hendricks out, making it a six-man rotation that gives each starter an extra day of rest.
This is important, as the Cubs play 17-straight days with no off days.
Before being called up, Alzolay made six starts at Triple-A Iowa where he posted a 2-1 record with a 3.09 ERA. In 32 innings of work he compiled 46 strikeouts to only six walks.
