Yu Darvish Admits Defeat in Funny Fashion After Christian Yelich Bodied Him for Sign-Stealing Tweet
By Parker White
Chicago Cubs starter Yu Darvish is a star on Twitter and isn't afraid to make jokes, but he used this platform on a more serious note on Friday, insinuating that the Milwaukee Brewers were stealing signs from the bullpen.
From there, it led to the Brewers' best player, Christian Yelich, responding to Darvish over that rather mellow accusation.
On Saturday, however, Darvish was back to sending out funnier, more self-deprecating tweets.
Instead of firing back at Yelich's tweet, Darvish took it in stride and joked about his picture accidentally being used in a Japanese report about a hit-and-run victim. As it turns out, maybe Darvish was bodied so hard this actually was him.
Surely this is the end of the beef between Yelich and Darvish, at least on Twitter. As for when the two meet on the diamond next year, expect some fireworks.
If there's a player in baseball who could calm the tensions when it comes to sign-stealing allegations, it's Darvish. The dude is a real treasure on social media.
