A D’Angelo Russell-Ben Simmons Trade Makes No Sense so We Should Stop Talking About it

Philadelphia 76ers PG Ben Simmons and Golden State Warriors PG D'Angelo Russell are both All-Star level talents who should have long, successful careers in the NBA. However, the thought that these two should be traded for each other is completely foolish.
Despite a recent rumor, there's really no reason to discuss this any further. With Simmons' lack of shooting ability, he would be an incredibly poor fit for the Warriors.
Warriors trade rumors: Ben Simmons seen as trade target for D'Angelo Russell, but there are major hurdles

Since Stephen Curry joined the Warriors in 2009, the team has not placed lower than fourth in the league in three-point percentage, which has resulted in three rings and five finals appearances. However, this year the team ranks 26th in said stat, and is dead last in the Western Conference standings.
Adding a player like Simmons who has hit a total of two three-pointers in his career hurts the team more than it helps, especially since they already have a point-forward with a lackluster jump shot in Draymond Green.
Furthermore, why would the Sixers want to give up their 23-year-old superstar? He is an extremely talented player whose only weakness is his jump shot.
The only reason anyone wants to trade Ben Simmons for D'Angelo Russell is because Russell does the one thing Simmons won't do. Simmons is better than Russell at quite literally everything else. So, let's stop with these Simmons/Russell trades.

This a ridiculous rumor that will never come to fruition, so we should just ignore this and move on.
