D'Angelo Russell and Jared Dudley Couldn't Be Happier the Nets Parted Ways With Kenny Atkinson
By Jerry Trotta

ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarowski dropped a bomb on Saturday when he reported that the Brooklyn Nets agreed to mutually part ways with head coach Kenny Atkinson.
The settlement seemed like a harsh one from the Nets, as Atkinson, outside of a few promising talents, wasn't exactly working with a great roster. Reports indicate that the decision was made on Thursday after Brooklyn's humiliating 39-point loss at home to the Memphis Grizzlies.
To most NBA fans, this was a shocking development, and two former Nets who played under the 52-year-old HC as recently as last season-- Jared Dudley and D'Angelo Russell -- took to Twitter to articulate their reactions to the news.

Call us crazy, but it appears as though Dudley and Russell couldn't be happier that Atkinson was axed.
Rumors have surfaced in the wake of Atkinson's firing which indicate that he lost the Nets locker room on several occasions throughout the team's frustrating season. Should we assume that Dudley and Russell endured a similar hardship during their stints in Brooklyn?

That's probably an unfair assumption to make at this stage, but we'll surely know soon enough how current Nets players feel about Atkinson's dismissal.
