By Kevin Aquino

Coming from out of nowhere, Derek Jeter has just pulled off a prospect-for-prospect swap.
Marlins pitcher Zac Gallen is headed to the Arizona Diamondbacks in exchange for Jazz Chisholm, Arizona's No. 1 prospect.

Gallen has turned some heads since being promoted to the majors, but the Miami Marlins have the worst record in the entire NL. Gallen has only one win under his belt, but the Diamondbacks may have found themselves a diamond, as he sports a 2.72 ERA.
In 2017, Gallen bounced around three different minor league teams, each at a different level, and put together an 2.93 ERA in 26 games. Gallen then spent time with the Triple-A New Orleans Baby Cakes before being called up to the Marlins.

Arizona (54-54) is sitting at .500, just behind the Giants in the NL West. Gallen is expected to join Zack Greinke and Robbie Ray in the pitching rotation.
As for Miami, Chisholm is a shortstop that has yet to have major-league experience, but entices as the Diamondbacks' top prospect. The 21-year-old is having a difficult time making contact at Double-A Jackson, but has 18 home runs and 44 RBI to his name, in addition to his .204 average.
