D-Backs Star Adam Jones Calls Out 'Fan' Over Horrifying NSFW and Racist DMs

MLB All-Star Adam Jones is unfortunately no stranger to racism, but the messages he's received are nothing short of horrifying.
The veteran Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder called out a "fan" on Instagram for their unbelievably vulgar and racist DMs. Hopefully, revealing this nastiness to the world helps curb it even the smallest amount.
No player should be subjected to such vile remarks. Jones is a model athlete and a class act both on and off the field. Seeing him receive such vulgar and obscene threats is simply unacceptable.
It's evidence of just how much work there still is to do in combating racism, especially in the baseball world.
Just two years ago, Jones revealed that he was subjected to racist taunts while visiting Fenway Park as a member of the Baltimore Orioles, prompting a larger discussion about racism and baseball, especially in the city of Boston.

Slurs and heinous remarks such as these have no place in the world.
Jones has every right to be frustrated, and it was wise of him to expose those messages to the fans to remind them of what minority athletes endure every time they take the field.
