Dak Prescott Has No Interest in Talking With Aaron Rodgers About What it's Like to Play for Mike McCarthy
By Michael Luciano
The Dallas Cowboys finally canned Jason Garrett after a decade at the helm, and they replaced him with former Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy, who now has undertaken the task of keeping Dak Prescott performing at a Pro Bowl level.
Prescott himself is apparently not to eager to find out what it's like to play for his new head coach, as he has said specifically that he doesn't care to reach out to Aaron Rodgers, who soured on McCarthy in the twilight of his reign in Green Bay.
“I don’t care to get a feel from somebody else off of their judgment or their relationship," Prescott said. "I know relationships are completely individual and I don’t even want to warp my mind off of what somebody else thinks.”
The tabula rasa approach to McCarthy could work well for Prescott, who doesn't want some potentially negative reviews from the notoriously prickly Rodgers to cloud his judgement of his new head coach.
The Rodgers-McCarthy beef appears to be ongoing, despite some diplomatic attempts by both parties to play nice. Hopefully Prescott, who was nothing but supportive of Jason Garrett until the day he was fired, can get along with McCarthy more than Rodgers did.
