Dak Prescott Remains Confident in Contract Talks With Cowboys
By Jack Murphy

Even after the Dallas Cowboys' disappointing year, Dak Prescott continued to shine on the gridiron, turning in his best season to date. Prescott's career year could not have come at a better time, considering he'll be in contract negotiations with the organization this offseason, and is in line for a huge deal.
Ahead of the offseason, Prescott said that he's confident in getting a new deal done, and also expressed his gratitude about being the starting quarterback in Arlington.
#Cowboys QB Dak Prescott on RapSheet + Friends about his contract: “I’ve got confidence something will get done that’s good for both of us. Being the #Cowboys QB is second to none, there are very few positions in all of sports that are comparable.” Here: https://t.co/yGplUseycG

Dak's contract negotiations have been buzzing in the media since last summer when he reportedly turned down a deal which would see him pocket $30 million per year.
It was reported that Prescott asked for $40 million per season, however those inklings were said to be "false."

Dak took a gamble on himself and it paid off. He finished the 2019 campaign with 4,902 yards and 30 touchdowns while only throwing 11 interceptions. If the Cowboys were willing to pay him $30 million per year before his break out season, don't be surprised if both parties agree on a deal worth $35 million a year or even more.
Dallas is also looking to become a competitor once again in the NFL. They recently hired former Super Bowl champion head coach Mike McCarthy after giving Jason Garrett the boot. If the Cowboys want to be a competitive football team again, they need to ink a deal with their promising 26-year old quarterback.
