Dak Prescott Reportedly Vouching for Dez Bryant is a Power Play Jerry Jones Shouldn't Ignore
By Mark Powell
Dak Prescott is trying to tell Jerry Jones something, and it isn't as simple as "pay me."
Prescott recently worked out with Dez Bryant during the COVID-19 pandemic (we assume they kept appropriate social distance), and the latter even bragged about it on social media. With this Cowboys connection back in the fold, Dallas ought to consider bringing Bryant back on the cheap.
We're not the only ones pushing this narrative, apparently.
If Dak really is in Bryant's corner, it would serve Cowboys leadership well to bring back Dez on a prove-it deal. Prescott is already unhappy enough with Dallas' front office for not yet agreeing to his terms on a long-term deal. Ignoring his nudge on Bryant could be a tipping point.
The addition of Bryant would help solidify a Dallas receiving corps that lost Randall Cobb this offseason. Dez adds depth the Cowboys are currently lacking, and also won't threaten the emerging Michael Gallup or any young wideouts Jones decides to take come Draft Day.
It's an easy win that Prescott could use right about now.
