At least for this weekend, the Dallas Cowboys and their fans will be rooting for the New York Giants. Dallas needs a Week 17 win from Big Blue if they want to make the playoffs.

So in spite of the bitter rivalry between the two teams, Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott says he'll be wearing a Saquon Barkley jersey ahead of the game Sunday in the hopes that the Giants can knock off the Philadelphia Eagles.

He said it in jest, but he might be wise to actually follow through on the promise.

The Cowboys can win the NFC East and secure a playoff spot if they manage to win against the Washington Redskins and the Eagles end up losing to the Giants.

The odds are definitely not in Dallas' favor, so there's really no harm in Prescott donning a rival's jersey in the hopes of netting some good juju. They've got everything to gain and nothing to lose!

Asking for help from the Giants is always a tough pill to swallow for Cowboys fans. In this case, it's necessary.

As an added bonus, a Giants win would also secure bragging rights for the Cowboys over their rivals in Philadelphia. Maybe there is a silver lining, after all.
