Dak Prescott Welcomed XFL's Renegades to Dallas With Awesome Gift
By Dylan McCaffrey
The Dallas Cowboys star quarterback, Dak Prescott, is an XFL fan just like the rest of us.
In his way of welcoming the team to the city of Dallas, Prescott left the Renegades the gift of high-def music and a friendly message.
“Welcome to Dallas,” the note says. “When it comes to rivalries, Dallas vs. New York is notorious. Here’s a little something to get you in the zone. It’s time to make our city proud.”
The Renegades joined the Dallas sports club on Dec. 5, when the reincarnated XFL announced the eight teams that would be included in the inaugural season. The team played and lost their first game on Feb. 9, but have gone 2-0 since.
Prescott's gift is timely, as the Renegades have a game tomorrow, March 7, against the NY Guardians (2-2).
As Prescott welcomes one Dallas team to the city, he's in a disagreement with another. Prescott is trying to negotiate his contract with the Cowboys, but the team is still withholding a long-term contract offer from their QB.
Prescott wants to stay with the Cowboys, and this gesture to the XFL's Dallas club is a clear sign of that.
