Dallas Keuchel is getting paid. The newest White Sox starter's contract details have just come out, and the numbers are staggering.

Three years, $55.5 million is the exact total, including a fourth-year option that could increase that total to $74 million if Keuchel/the team choose to accept it.

Keuchel celebrates his 32nd birthday along with the New Year in 2020, and is hoping to rejuvenate the All-Star level of pitching we saw from him during his days in Houston. His only year in Atlanta was a modest one by Keuchel's standards. The left-hander made over $13 million in 2018, but had just an 8-8 record to show for it.

He had his lowest innings pitched total since his rookie season, striking out just 91 batters while sporting a 3.75 ERA, and allowing 9.2 hits per-nine-innings, while dealing with a depreciating velocity level. The signing for the White Sox adds to a very active summer for the ballclub, after they signed Yasmani Grandal and Jose Abreu to multi-year deals, and added fellow lefty Gio Gonzalez on a one-year, $5 million agreement.

Keuchel won the MLB's Cy Young award in 2015.
