Dallas Keuchel Reportedly Being Open to One-Year Deal is Huge for the Braves, Yankees and Rays
By Max Scoli

Dallas Keuchel is still a free agent, waiting to find his new home. Despite his past success, the veteran starting pitcher has struggled to find work. However, that may change soon. On June 2, teams will be allowed to sign players who declined a qualifying offer without having to surrender a compensatory draft pick.
Keuchel has stated that he is open to a one-year deal in the $18 million range, making him an attractive short-term option for teams in need of pitching help.
As reported during the winter: Initial ask to teams for Dallas Keuchel was 6 or 7 years, $25m to $30m annually. In spring HOU offered choice: 1 year at $15m or 2/$24m. More recently, his camp said to be open to 1-year deal, for prorated annual $ at qualifying offer range. ($18m)

Among the teams that are said to be interested in the lefty are the Atlanta Braves, New York Yankees and Tampa Bay Rays. These organizations are all searching for starting pitching, whether it is due to ineffective performances on their own staffs or a lack of depth resulting from nagging injuries.
#Rays “staying in touch” with Dallas Keuchel, per @Ken_Rosenthal, while #Yankees “remain interested” in him. https://t.co/o0cAkfrGTw

Keuchel could end up being a perfect solution for one lucky club.
The two-time MLB All-Star has quite the resumé. He won the AL Cy Young Award in 2015 after posting a 2.48 ERA with 216 Ks, earning him 20 wins on the season. Keuchel also won a World Series Championship in 2017 and is a four-time Gold Glove Award winner.
Finding quality left-handed starting pitching can be challenging this far into the season, and Keuchel is the cream of the crop when it comes to the best free agents still available. Who will end up landing him?
