Dallas Keuchel Set to Start for Braves' Single-A Affiliate Against Yankees Monday Night
By Sean Facey

For the first time in 2019, Dallas Keuchel is scheduled to pitch in a professional baseball game.
The Atlanta Braves' free agent signing is set to start for Single-A Rome on Monday night, coincidentally against the Yankees' Single-A affiliate.

The Yankees, of course, were considered the favorites to land Keuchel right up until the last few hours before the Braves swooped in.
Keuchel's performance is of paramount importance for the Braves. Outside of rookie sensation Mike Soroka, they've struggled to find consistent production in the starting rotation. Mike Foltynewicz in particular has struggled to regain his dominant 2018 form.
The sharper he looks, the sooner the team can expect some much-need relief for their struggling starters.

The expectations are high for Keuchel regardless of the state of the pitching staff. He's a former AL Cy Young winner that owns a career 3.66 ERA and plenty of playoff experience, another thing the Braves could use.
His start on Monday night marks the beginning of what could be looked back on as the move that put the Braves over the hump.
