VIDEO: Mavericks Assistant Darrell Armstrong Introducing Young Fan to Luka Doncic is Freaking Adorable
I think it's safe to say that Luka Doncic has superpowers. He just signed a multi-year deal with Jordan Brand, whose namesake made his own name based on seemingly supernatural abilities, and now it's been revealed that Doncic may have some curative powers as well. One Mavs fan brought a sign out to Dallas' Thursday night game against the Brooklyn Nets saying he had been seizure-free for nine months, and that watching Luka play helped him with his epilepsy. Mavs assistant coach Darrell Armstrong saw the sign before the game and decided to give the kid a treat that was even better than watching Luka - meeting him in person.
What a special moment for this kid. We saw Lebron James reflect many months ago about how special it was for him that Luka had watched him play while growing up, and now, the 20-year-old phenom is having a profound impact on a new generation. It's more than triple-doubles and broken records for this guy, and we're seeing him blaze a trail in the NBA in ways that have nothing to do with the stat sheet.
