XFL's Dallas Renegades Sold Some of the Worst Seats Ever for Opener in Old Texas Rangers Stadium
By Scott Rogust
The XFL has returned for the first time since 2001, one week after Super Bowl LIV, in an effort to draw in the football-desperate crowd. So far, so good for the league, as evidenced by its innovative rules and quality on-field action.
If there was one negative, it happened during Sunday's game between the Dallas Renegades and St. Louis BattleHawks. The Renegades' home games take place at Globe Life Park, the former home of the Texas Rangers. And some of the seats the team is selling are... well, downright terrible.
What on Earth?
While you may be thinking about the fan outrage over the amount of money individuals would have dropped for those seats, that's not the case. When looking at the team's official seating chart for home games, seats in that particular section are being sold for a grand total of...$20. Unfortunately it seems like not even that bargain could put butts in those seats, and it's not hard to see why.
Hey, you get what you pay for. And what you're dropping coin for is an obstructed view of one end zone by the opposite bleacher section.
Considering the amount of empty seats in the stadium, it may be in the Renegades' best interest to simply do away with that section of seating.
