Dalvin Cook Reveals More About Stefon Diggs' Displeasure With Vikings After Trade to Bills
By Scott Rogust
The Minnesota Vikings and wide receiver Stefon Diggs appeared to be heading for an amicable divorce since the early goings of the 2019 season. Not even a trip to the NFC Divisional Round could help salvage the relationship between both parties, as the receiver was traded to the Buffalo Bills for a premium draft package.
As it turns out, Diggs' disgruntled behavior wasn't a secret around the Vikings locker room. Running back Dalvin Cook told Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press that his teammate "looked like he was pretty much unhappy" all throughout last season.
Cook, like other NFL players, realizes that trades and transactions like these are "part of the business." All they can do is just move on and concentrate on the current players on the roster.

Diggs had been vocal in his displeasure with the team in the first months of the 2019 campaign, as he was used as more of a short-to-intermediate receiver to complement quarterback Kirk Cousins' dink-and-dunk play. About halfway through the season, Diggs went back to his old role of being a downfield threat, and it worked.
Even that switch couldn't help mend things, as the Vikings ultimately moved him in exchange for 2020 first-, fifth-, and sixth-round picks and a 2021 fourth-rounder.
While Diggs has moved on, Cook may not be a certainty in Minnesota, as he's due for a new contract in 2021, but both sides haven't made progress. It may be Cook who's next to be shown the door in Minnesota.
