The world continues to send well wishes to Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin, who suffered cardiac arrest early on in the Monday Night Football showdown going up against the Cincinnati Bengals. He needed CPR on the field.

He has since been in the hospital, taking positive steps with each passing hour. This was the case on Thursday, as it has been announced that he is not only awake, but he's also communicating with family and doctors.

It goes without saying, but there's loads of relief here for Hamlin. This is something that people are going to be following closely until he's released from the hospital in Cincinnati. More on this will surely be coming in the next hours and days.
