Damarious Randall Disputing He Ever Had a Concussion Suggests There's Drama With Browns
By Scott Rogust
Drama has been following the Cleveland Browns ever since they were crowned as the NFL's offseason champions. Despite the hiring of head coach Freddie Kitchens and the acquisitions of Odell Beckham Jr., Sheldon Richardson and Olivier Vernon, the Browns find themselves with a 1-2 record heading into Week 4.
Since the Browns have willingly allowed the drama to enter their facility, it's only fitting that more would be coming their way.
Safety Damarious Randall missed the last two games due to a concussion, according to the team. However, after being cleared from the league's concussion protocol on Wednesday, Randall denied ever having one.
"No comment,’’ Randall said, via Mary Kay Cabot of cleveland.com. “I was just placed in concussion protocol on Friday before the Jets game. I just went in protocol then.’’
The questioning began after Randall provided vague answers to the media.
Randall was diagnosed with a concussion on the Friday before Cleveland's Week 2 game against the New York Jets. When asked by Cabot when he felt better, Randall replied with "Saturday morning."
Things get more interesting, as Randall told the media that he's "only one concussion in [his] life," but it wasn't this recent one diagnosed by the Browns. Rather, it occurred during a 2017 preseason game as a member of the Green Bay Packers, which kept him on the shelf for 12 days.
Something's up here, right?
